Welcome to our Elementary School Technology Program!
Technology at Colegio Roosevelt, is an integral part of the school mission, vision and core values. We are continuous learners of technology who strengthen our community through:
The Elementary School Technology Integration program continues to grow and is still a model to other international schools.
All students develop technology activities and projects fully integrated into every PYP curricular area by using computers or iPads in their classrooms or by coming to the Learning Lounges. Tech Coaches work collaboratively with all homeroom and specialist teachers from EC3 to Grade 5 to plan, implement and assess relevant, age-appropriate projects.
We are closely following the ISTE National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) making sure every student acquires the age-appropriate technology and media skills while making strong connections, specially linked to Units of Inquiry. This is possible due to the flexible-access schedule we follow where learning takes place on a "just in time" approach. Students use technology at point of need to make strong connections with their learning. Teachers (homeroom and specialists) plan together collaboratively, therefore creating a stronger team and PYP curriculum at FDR.
Ms. Ximena Núñez del Prado, Ms. Carla Puppo, Ms. Anais Buckley help guide students in developing information literacy and technology skills.
Digital Citizenship Agreements (DCA)
The DCA helps all students to be safe, respectful and responsible users of technology at school and at home.
